The International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE) Australian Chapter were proud to host the 7th Drill & Blast Down Under Conference at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland on the 8th & 9th of November 2023.
Registration numbers exceeded all expectations with 300+ delegates attending the conference and exhibition over two days. Our exhibitor hall was flourishing with 40+ booths and our conference room was filled with the expertise of 24 local and international speakers discussing all things related to drill and blast. An excellent networking event for our industry in the southern hemisphere.

We would like to give special mention to our keynote speakers, Dr Sean Brady and his presentation on “How Organisations Sabotage Safety” and Dr Nathan Rouse for his presentation on “Building a Personal or Brand Image from Scratch”. Congratulations goes to Mick Martin for winning The Driller of the Year (DOTY) and a huge celebration goes to Rauf Osterman and his team for Technical Paper of the Year with their paper “Cross River Rail-Blasting AA2 Tunnel under Cavern”.
